Full job description

On behalf of our client, Grand River Personnel is recruiting an experienced Shipping Clerk for a full-time opportunity in WATERLOO.

If you’re an organized logistics professional with manufacturing shipping experience and a strong attention to detail, we’d like to hear from you! We’re looking for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, coordinating shipments, preparing documentation, and ensuring products are delivered accurately and on time.

Pay Rate: $28.10/hr + 4% vacation pay added to each cheque weekly

Shift: Days – Monday to Thursday: 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM | Friday: 7:00 AM – 11:00 AM

Responsibilities:

Coordinate daily outbound shipments with warehouse and material handling staff
Check drivers in and out while maintaining accurate shipping records
Prepare shipping documentation for courier, LTL, live loads, customs, and international shipments
Ensure shipping paperwork is complete, accurate, and processed in a timely manner
Work closely with Customer Service and Logistics to resolve shipping inquiries and support on-time deliveries
Follow established shipping procedures while maintaining compliance with ISO 9001 quality standards
Identify, document, and communicate product, process, or quality concerns through established procedures
Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient shipping area
Comply with all company safety, quality, and operational policies
Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent
3-5 years of Shipping Clerk or logistics experience in a manufacturing environment
Experience preparing shipping documentation, including UPS, LTL, live loads, customs, and international shipments
Strong understanding of shipping, freight, and logistics processes
Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Strong computer and data entry skills
Basic math skills with the ability to accurately count and verify parts and shipments
Valid external forklift (tow motor) licence and operating experience considered a strong asset
Positive attitude, dependable attendance, and strong work ethic
