Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and friendly Staff Member to join our team in a dynamic food service environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, assisting with food preparation, and ensuring a clean and safe dining experience. This role offers an opportunity to develop skills in food handling, cashiering, and restaurant operations while contributing to a positive customer experience.

Duties

Prepare and serve food items according to established standards, ensuring quality and presentation.
Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for accurate order processing and cash handling.
Manage customer transactions efficiently while providing friendly and attentive service.
Assist with food safety and sanitation procedures to maintain a clean and safe environment.
Engage in upselling techniques to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales.
Maintain cleanliness of workstations, dining areas, and kitchen spaces in compliance with sanitation standards.
Support team members during busy periods by managing multiple responsibilities such as serving, cashiering, and food prep.
Ensure timely delivery of orders through effective time management skills.

Requirements

Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required.
Knowledge of food preparation, handling, and safety standards.
Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests.
Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and order accuracy.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
Experience with food industry practices including sanitation, serving, and upselling techniques.
Proven time management skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Kitchen experience or restaurant experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
