Full job description

RAPS is Seeking a part time Support Worker to assist an individual with Autism and a Physical Disability (E26)

Location: Red Deer

Days: 3-4 days a week * flexible

Hours: 10-15 hours

Job Description: Duties include but are not limited to: Personal care (bathing, dressing, and toileting), Meal planning and preparation, encouragement of independent life skills (cooking, baking, money management), participation in activities (theater, swimming), support on outings in the community, facilitate community engagement and volunteer opportunities, along with social connections.

The ideal candidate will have the inclusive mindset and strive to break barriers.

Qualifications: the successful candidate must have an updated criminal record check containing the Vulnerable sector check portion, experience working with disabilities , First aid/CPR certificates and the ability to quickly problem solve and think outside the box for inclusive adjustments in community.

Having a class 5 driver’s license and vehicle is considered an Asset.

Rate of Pay: $17.31/ hour
