Heavy Duty Mechanic / Field Technician

Due to growth, ALPA Equipment Ltd. is currently seeking a dynamic, motivated and driven individual to join our Service team!

This posting is for a Heavy Duty Mechanic / Field Technician at our Fredericton NB location.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Under the supervision of the Service Manager, the Heavy Duty Mechanic / Field Technician will be responsible to troubleshoot and repair forestry and construction equipment at various locations or work sites.

Specific Responsibilities

Travel to work sites to perform maintenance or repairs to equipment
Diagnose, trouble shoot and repair forestry and construction equipment with the use of electronic diagnostic tools and calibration devices
Test parts and systems to ensure that they are working properly
Follow checklists to ensure that all critical parts are examined
Repair or replace worn parts
Disassemble and reassemble parts
Make recommendations on future repair or maintenance requirements

Requirements

Education, experience, and skills required

High School Diploma and completion of or enrolled in a mechanic journeyman certification program (Other combinations of work/education equivalence may be considered)
Working knowledge of computers and software
Sound mechanical knowledge
Bilingual (English & French)
Millwright experience would be considered an asset.
Ability to thrive in a fast-evolving work environment and deal with changing priorities
Ability to work 40 + hours per week.
Valid Driver’s License

Cette annonce concerne un poste de Mécanicien-ne de véhicules lourds / Technicien-ne de chantier à notre succursale de Fredericton, NB

L'OPPORTUNITÉ

Sous la supervision du Gérant de service, le Mécanicien-ne de véhicules lourds / Technicien-ne de chantier sera responsable d’effectuer le diagnostic de problèmes (Troubleshooting) et d’assurer la réparation des machines forestières et de construction sur le chantier.

Responsabilités spécifiques

Se rendre au lieu de travail des clients pour effectuer de la maintenance et réparation
Assurer le diagnostic de problèmes à l’aide d’outils de diagnostic électronique et de dispositifs d’étalonnage (calibration devices)
Tester des pièces et systèmes pour s’assurer qu’ils fonctionnent adéquatement
Suivre des procédures et listes de vérification pour s’assurer que toutes les pièces critiques sont examinées
Réparer ou remplacer les pièces endommagées
Démonter et réassembler des pièces
Effectuer des recommandations pour des réparations futur et la maintenance recommandée

Exigences

Formation, expérience et compétences requises

Diplôme d’études secondaire et avoir compléter ou être inscris à un programme de certification de mécanicien (Journeyman certification program)
Autres combinaisons d’éducation et d’expérience pourraient être considéré
Connaissance pratique des ordinateurs et des logiciels
Bonnes connaissances de la mécanique
Bilingue (français & anglais)
Une expérience de mécanicien-monteur (Millwright) serait un atout
Capacité à prospérer dans un environnement de travail en évolution rapide et à gérer des priorités changeantes
Capacité et volonté à travailler 40 + heures par semaine
Permis de conduire valide.
