Full job description

Simplified HR Consulting is recruiting on behalf of Niagara Battery & Tire, a long-established, family-owned automotive service and tire business operating multiple locations across the Niagara region.

The company provides a full range of services, including tires, alignments, mechanical repairs, batteries, and commercial fleet support, and has built a strong reputation in the community over several decades.

We are seeking a Sales & Operations Manager to support and strengthen day-to-day operations at the St. Catharines location.

This is not a traditional sales role. While the position includes a sales component, the primary focus is on sales coordination, operational oversight, and ensuring consistent follow-through across customer interactions and internal processes.

This role will play a key part in building structure from the ground up, implementing systems, and improving how work flows across the team.

What You’ll Do

Oversee inbound sales activity, ensuring quotes, follow-ups, and customer communication are completed consistently
Lead and support a small team, including sales staff and drivers
Identify operational gaps and implement practical improvements to workflow and efficiency
Bring structure and accountability to daily operations across sales coordination and logistics
Take ownership of improving and building internal processes where structure does not yet exist
Coordinate delivery schedules and support efficient routing and execution
Monitor margins, job progress, and overall workflow to ensure performance targets are met
Work with existing tools and systems (including AI-supported tools where applicable) to improve tracking, communication, and execution
Collaborate with leadership to improve processes and support business growth

What We’re Looking For

Required

3–5+ years of experience in a sales, operations, or coordination role
Previous experience leading or supporting a team in a fast-paced environment
Strong technical aptitude and enthusiasm for using tools (including AI-supported tools) to improve efficiency, tracking, and workflow
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
Proven ability to follow through on tasks and ensure accountability
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify inefficiencies and implement practical solutions
Comfortable working in an environment where processes are being developed and improved
Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
Technically adaptable and open to using tools (including AI-supported systems) to improve efficiency

Assets

Experience in automotive, tire, logistics, or service-based industries
Experience with CRM systems, scheduling tools, or workflow management
Experience supporting sales processes or customer follow-up systems
