Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to join our team in a dynamic food service environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality meals, ensuring food safety standards are met, and providing excellent customer service. This role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced restaurant setting, contributing to a positive dining experience for our guests.

Responsibilities

Prepare and assemble food items according to established recipes and standards
Cook and serve meals efficiently while maintaining quality and presentation
Handle food with proper safety and sanitation practices to ensure compliance with health regulations
Assist in food preparation tasks, including chopping, mixing, and portioning ingredients
Serve customers in a friendly and professional manner, addressing their needs promptly
Maintain the cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas throughout shifts
Follow all food handling procedures to uphold safety standards
Support kitchen operations. including inventory management, ordering, and cost control
Collaborate with management to develop and execute lunch and dinner specials.

Experience

Minimum 3 years of experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is required
Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and meal assembly
Familiarity with food safety protocols and handling procedures
Experience with serving customers in a fast-paced setting is advantageous
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
Strong teamwork skills with a focus on delivering excellent customer service

This position offers an engaging work environment for individuals passionate about the food industry, with opportunities to develop culinary skills and gain valuable restaurant experience. Additional kitchen tip-outs: approximately $3-$5hr based on sales.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25.0 – 35.0 per week

Ladysmith, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
