Modern Paving Ltd is a mid-sized heavy civil construction company with over 50 years in business. We work in and around the Avalon Peninsula area with a commitment to providing quality services to our clients. Duties will include:

Working with the project management team to help create, maintain and execute a project plan to ensure compliance with budget and construction schedule.
Supervision and coordination of site construction activity including earthworks, utilities, roadwork and paving, grading, concrete flatwork, and municipal infrastructure.
Collaborating with the project team and trade contractors to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications.
Ensuring implementation of Modern Paving’s safety program to ensure compliance with health, safety and environment procedures.
Performing minor light labouring tasks as required within the scope of the job.

Requirements for the role:

Degree in Civil Engineering or Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology.
Five or more years of experience in a Civil Construction Supervision role working on civil construction, road or earthworks projects.
Experience in coordinating own forces and sub-contractors for various construction projects.
Experience and knowledge of implementing a strong safety culture and application of HSE policies and procedures.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Experience on loaders/excavators is an asset.
Survey experience is an asset.
