Testmark Laboratories Ltd is a leader in the provision of environmental lab testing with 6 laboratories across Ontario and Manitoba. We are seeking a Driver for our Thompson location in a part-time capacity with previous commercial driving experience. The routes may involve driving up to 800km or 8 hours of driving (round trip) per day on highways and regional roads, in all types of weather.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide safe, courteous, and efficient delivery/pickup service to our existing clients utilizing a company-provided vehicle (passenger van). Fuel costs to be covered by employer
Deliver/pick up items in a timely manner to meet required scheduling.
Ensure all items being delivered are handled with care during transport and delivery
Cleaning/Preparing coolers
Load and unload goods in a safe and efficient manner
Inspect and clean the delivery vehicle regularly
Maintain detailed records of fuel costs and mileage
Other duties as assigned, which may include assisting with general housekeeping and organizational tasks at the lab facility when not driving

Requirements:

Professionalism in customer service
Ability to receive and relay information effectively to team members
Valid full driver’s license
Clean driving record (abstract will be required)
Police background check will be required
Problem solving, critical thinking
Job task planning and organizing
Ability to lift/carry up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Ability to meet tight deadlines
Previous experience as a delivery driver is considered an asset

The driving schedule will rotate between Monday - Tuesday and Tuesday - Wednesday on alternating weeks. The candidate might be required to drive on stat holidays as well.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $24.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

Thompson, MB R8N 0N4: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
