Full job description

This is a high-impact leadership role within a fast-paced agricultural environment. As the Controller & Head Administrator, you will be the leader of the company’s financial and operational stability. You will oversee all financial reporting, human resources, and office management, ensuring that the business remains agile during peak seasonal shifts. This role requires a "hands-on" leader who can navigate complex supply chain reconciliations while maintaining a professional office environment.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Leadership & Reconciliation: Oversee all high-level financial functions. Manage the heavy seasonal influx of supplier and carrier invoices by coordinating the workflow between yourself and the administrative team to ensure 100% accuracy in account reconciliations.
Collaborative Office Administration: Work as a unified team with administrative staff members to manage the office environment. You will provide mentorship and technical guidance while sharing the load of daily operations, ensuring that office systems are efficient and scalable.
Management Integration: Serve as a strategic partner to the broader Management Team. Provide the financial data and operational insights necessary for collective decision-making regarding warehouse logistics, capital expenditures, and seasonal labor planning.
Payroll & HR Synergy: Execute full-cycle payroll via Payworks. Partner with management to handle personnel requirements, ensuring that staffing levels in both the office and warehouse are optimized for seasonal peaks.
Process Optimization: Lead the continuous improvement of office workflows. By working closely with your admin team, you will identify bottlenecks in the invoicing or reconciliation process and implement collaborative solutions.

Requirements

Experience: 5+ years in a senior accounting or administrative role. Proven experience working within a collaborative management structure is essential.
Leadership Style: A "player-coach" mentality. You are comfortable diving into the details of an account reconciliation while simultaneously guiding your admin team and advising the executive level.
Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills. The ability to translate complex financial data into actionable items for the warehouse and management teams.
Technical Proficiency: Mastery of Payworks and Excel, with a focus on creating shared digital workspaces that allow the admin team to work synchronously.

Pay: $70,000.00-$85,000.00 per year

Education:

Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
