Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and skilled individual to join our team as a part-time baker/pastry chef on Monday and Tuesdays from 2am to 12pm. (20 hours per week). Could move into full time down the road as we grow.

Responsibilities

Roll out, cut and fry doughnuts as per Doughnut Love specifications.
Decorate and glaze to Doughnut Love specifications and enhance visual appeal.
Prepare various food items in accordance with recipes and safety guidelines.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen area, adhering to food safety standards.
Prepare doughs, batters and glaze and assist with preparations
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, communicating needs to management.

Qualifications

Previous experience in the food industry, particularly in baking or cake decorating, is preferred. (one year experience minimum)
Strong knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations.
Experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is highly desirable.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
Flexibility to work various shifts as needed, including weekends or holidays if required. Join us in creating delightful culinary experiences for our customers while showcasing your talents in baking and decorating!

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
