Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Line Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about food preparation, cooking, and delivering exceptional food service in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This role offers an opportunity to showcase your skills in meal preparation, food safety, and kitchen operations while contributing to a positive dining experience for our guests.

Responsibilities

Swiss Chalet – Line Cook

Responsibilities:

Complete line checks to ensure sufficient food is prepared and ready for service.
Prepare and cook menu items according to Swiss Chalet standards.
Ensure food quality, consistency, and presentation meet company specifications.
Plate meals accurately and efficiently to create a positive guest experience.
Maintain a clean and sanitized workstation, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
Perform opening, closing, and cleaning duties as assigned.
Follow food safety, health, and safety regulations at all times.
Assist with food preparation, stocking, and dishwashing when needed.
Work as part of a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Qualifications:

Previous line cook or kitchen experience is an asset.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented.
Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Food Safety Certification or willingness to obtain certification

Experience

Prior restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred, especially in a fast-paced food service setting
Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and meal presentation
Familiarity with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
Experience with serving customers and understanding of the food industry standards is a plus
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards
Strong teamwork skills with a focus on delivering excellent customer service
