Full job description

Overview

We are seeking a professional and organized Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks efficiently. This role requires a friendly demeanor, strong communication skills, and familiarity with dental office operations to ensure smooth daily operations and a positive patient experience. The candidates must be available to work some evening hours and one Saturday per month. Experience with Abeldent is an asset.

Duties

Greet patients and visitors warmly, creating a welcoming environment at the front desk
Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments using Abeldent and other electronic medical records systems
Manage phone call to handle inquiries, appointment requests, and patient communications
Verify patient insurance information and update records accurately within the Abeldent platform
Collect payments, process billing, and handle administrative paperwork with attention to detail
Maintain organized patient files and ensure confidentiality of medical records.
Assist with patient check-in and check-out procedures, including updating medical history forms
Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure smooth flow of patient care and office operations

Requirements

Prior experience as a Dental Receptionist is required
Proficiency with dental management software such as Abeldent is an asset.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology and electronic medical records management
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Experience handling phone systems with professionalism and clarity
Office experience demonstrating administrative competence in front desk operations
Familiarity with dental office procedures, insurance verification, and billing processes is advantageous
Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, along with a friendly demeanor suitable for patient interaction

Pay: $20.00-$26.00 per hour
