Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking kitchen helper to join our team in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The kitchen helper plays a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and organization within the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized. This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in a hospitality setting and are eager to contribute to a collaborative team atmosphere. If you're keen to get some kitchen experience and possibly move into a cooking position over time, this would be a great opportunity.

Duties

Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment.
Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area and ensure that all items are organized and stored properly.
Assist in food preparation tasks as needed, supporting cooks and kitchen staff during busy service periods.
Help maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify management when stock is low.
Follow health and safety regulations regarding food handling and sanitation practices.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during meal service.
Perform other duties as assigned by the kitchen manager or head chef.

Experience

Previous experience in a hospitality or food service environment is preferred but not required.
Familiarity with restaurant or hotel kitchen operations is a plus.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean workspace.
Willingness to learn food handling techniques and assist with food preparation tasks as needed.
