Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Laser Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC laser cutting equipment to produce high-quality parts and components. This role requires a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, mechanical knowledge, and proficiency with various machine tools and software. The CNC Laser Operator will play a vital role in ensuring precision, efficiency, and safety in our production environment.

Duties

Operate and monitor CNC laser cutting machines, ensuring accurate execution of job orders.
Program and edit CNC laser machines using CAD/CAM software, including SolidWorks and other CAD tools.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics to determine specifications.
Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting on CNC equipment
Conduct quality control checks using calipers, hand tools, and measurement systems to verify dimensions and tolerances.
Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety standards.
Assist with warehouse operations including packaging finished products and operating forklifts when necessary.
Collaborate with team members on assembly tasks and mechanical projects as needed.
Follow safety protocols related to welding, machining, and equipment operation.

Qualifications

Proven experience operating CNC laser cutting machines; experience with CNC programming is highly preferred.
Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, mechanical principles, machining processes, and quality control standards.
Proficiency with CAD software such as SolidWorks; experience with CAD/CAM integration is a plus.
Ability to operate hand tools, calipers, forklifts, and other warehouse equipment safely.
Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to machining tolerances.
Mechanical aptitude with manufacturing processes including welding, assembly, machining, and packaging.
Previous warehouse or manufacturing experience is advantageous.
Excellent problem-solving skills along with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
