Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Bartender to join our dynamic hospitality team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service, craft quality beverages, and create a welcoming atmosphere for all guests. This role requires a strong understanding of food and beverage service, excellent time management, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in food industry settings, familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS, and a passion for hospitality are highly valued. The bartender will play a key role in ensuring guests have an enjoyable experience while maintaining food safety standards and proper cash handling procedures.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages accurately and efficiently
Engage with guests to provide excellent customer service, taking orders and answering questions about menu items
Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for order entry and cashiering functions
Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and basic math calculations
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in compliance with food safety standards
Restock bar supplies as needed and ensure proper food handling procedures are followed
Monitor guest behavior to promote responsible alcohol service
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation during busy hours
Uphold all food safety regulations and sanitation standards in accordance with industry guidelines
Manage time effectively to serve multiple guests efficiently while maintaining quality service

Experience

Previous restaurant or food service experience preferred, especially within the food industry or hospitality sector
Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms is advantageous
Experience in serving, cashiering, or bartending roles is highly desirable
Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
Knowledge of food safety protocols and proper food handling techniques
Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction processing
Excellent time management skills to handle high-volume periods effectively
