Belvika Trade & Packaging Ltd. DBA BelPak is a leading one-stop contract packaging company, specializing in precision packing of dry foods, chocolate and confectionary products from multiple facilities totaling more than 500,000 ft2. BelPak has grown to be one of the largest co-packers of chocolate, confectionary and snack products in Canada. BelPak uses its extensive experience in managing both manual processes and automated equipment to handle primary and secondary packaging of products for some of the world’s best known confectionary brands.

BelPak is currently seeking an Inventory Manager for its Export facility, located in Mississauga. The Inventory Manager will be responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of inventory- from raw materials to finished goods- to ensure maximum availability, optimize inventory turnover, and minimal waste.

The successful candidate will:

Ensure production needs are fulfilled with materials within the network on time and in full;
Verify and raise concerns over pallet aging;
Investigate recons over threshold;
Investigate inventory discrepancy escalations;
Investigating BOM discrepancy;
Facilitate disposals/returns with teams;
Efficiently manage 3PL movements with less transportation costs;
Ensure 3PL direct receiving’s are completed in timely fashion and correct;
Verify aging FERT, and ensure shipping;
Verify vendor invoice discrepancies based on receiving errors and issues;
Investigate and rectify OS&D – pass along correction to Supervisor to fix;
Approve and coordinate customs clearances for BelPak;
Manage all customer EDI and system maintenance and testing;
Approve 3PL storage invoices;
Approve transportation invoices;
Ensure weekly/monthly book to book reconciliations between Nulogy and SAP are conducted and investigate large variations;
Ensure production FERT consumption daily postings for customer(s);
Ensure WIP is posted in timely fashion for customer(s);
Facilitate companywide customer inventory audits- yearly, weekly, daily;
Investigate and ensure finance invoice errors are corrected;
Accountable for driving inventory performance for BelPak enterprise;
Required to be on site at the following facilities (Export, Traders, Bowery, Sandalwood, Airport, Goreway, McPherson or Thornmount) when needed;
Manage performance of the inventory team through coaching, mentoring and training;
Follow all Company health and safety policies and procedures and work in compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Act;
All other duties as assigned.

Education/Work experience requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field;
3-5+ years of experience in inventory management, supply chain planning, or logistics, preferably in a CPG, food, beverage, or FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) environment;

Key technical & behavioural competencies:

Demonstrated leadership and team skills with ability to motivate staff;
Ability to interact with individuals at all levels within the Company;
Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
Commitment to governing rules and regulations as they relate to Health & Safety and food safety;
Manage and coordinate 3PL and vendors to ensure efficiency
Highly motivated and able to work independently;
Ability to multi-task and establish priorities;
Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills;
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP systems.
