Full job description

Overview:

Custom Millwright Services is a rapidly growing industrial maintenance company based out of Saskatoon, with operations across Western & Central Canada. We offer employees the chance to be part of a supportive and inclusive work environment which offers above the industry standard employee benefits.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Millwright Supervisor / Foreman, this is an on-the-road position the typical shift will be 10 days on, 4 days off.

Responsibilities

Oversee and coordinate daily work assignments to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks
Mentor and support junior technicians and apprentices; delegate work effectively and lead with a proactive, problem-solving approach
Ensure strict adherence to safety standards and quality protocols while maintaining a clean and organized work environment
Coordinate with other departments to ensure clear communication and smooth operational flow
Maintain a hands-on leadership approach to ensure the optimal team performance and reliability
Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues, developing practical and effective solutions
Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and prevent equipment failures or downtime
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and uninterrupted operations
Deliver excellent customer service by responding promptly to maintenance requests
Complete all required paperwork, safety documentation, and field reports, including photos and notes

Experience

Proven experience as a Supervisor or Foreman managing teams of millwrights and apprentices
Trade experience within the grain industry considered a strong asset
Strong knowledge of industrial maintenance practices, standards, and procedures
Having a Journeymen ticket would be an asset
Proficient in reading and interpreting schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
Experience working with PLCs and control systems is highly desirable
Skilled in welding and basic fabrication tasks
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with the capacity to resolve complex mechanical issues
