Full job description

Reliable Equipment Rentals Ltd. provides aerial equipment rentals and services to valued customers throughout southwestern British Columbia.

We are looking for a Dispatch Support Coordinator to assists with scheduling and coordinating the delivery of rental equipment throughout the Lower Mainland. The incumbent will work closely with the Dispatch Manager and team members to provides administrative and operational support to ensure smooth delivery operations, accurate recordkeeping, and maintaining a strong focus on safety and customer service.

Monday to Friday, 7:00AM to 3:30PM

Starting at $30.00 per hour depending on experience, skills, and qualifications

Responsibilities and Duties:

Assist the Dispatch Manager with scheduling and dispatching trucks to ensure timely and efficient service.
Support the coordination of driver pickup and delivery activities to meet customer and operational requirements.
Help prioritize delivery and pickup requests based on urgency, customer needs, and equipment availability.
Provide drivers with accurate directions, delivery details, and job-specific instructions as required.
Monitor and track shipments from pickup through delivery to job completion.
Relay timely information to drivers regarding traffic, weather, and road conditions.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date yard inventory records.
Collaborate with Yard Workers to prepare, stage, and verify equipment readiness for transport.
Answer incoming customer calls and assist with scheduling lift and equipment pickups.
Communicate effectively with the Sales and Service Departments to support machine delivery and pickup coordination.
Assist with maintaining maintenance logs and records for the trucking fleet.
Perform other dispatch and operational support duties as assigned.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
Clear and professional communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work collaboratively with drivers, yard staff, and office teams.
Basic computer proficiency, including dispatch systems, inventory tracking, and Microsoft Office or similar software.
Proficiency with the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley road network is an asset.
Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and follow-through.

Experience, Training, Certification and Education:

3+ years of experience in a dispatching or dispatch support role.
Relevant experience with equipment rental operations is an asset.
Forklift experience or certification is an asset.
Aerial lift experience or certification is an asset.

Working Conditions:

Office-based role with frequent interaction with yard operations and drivers.
Exposure to construction and industrial equipment.
Fast-paced environment requiring flexibility and problem-solving skills.
