The Opportunity:

Please note this role is a contract role with the opportunity to extend to a full-time role.

The Leasing Associate plays a key role in delivering an exceptional resident experience while supporting the successful lease-up and ongoing leasing performance of the community. This role combines sales, customer service, and operational coordination, guiding prospective residents through the leasing journey from first inquiry to move-in.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct engaging property tours and showcase suites, amenities, and neighbourhood benefits to prospective residents
Guide prospects through the full leasing journey - from inquiry and tour to application, approval, and move-in
Prepare and process leases, addenda, and related documentation in accordance with company standards
Complete credit checks, reference checks, and screening processes
Maintain and respond to lead inquiries and phone/email prospects in a timely and professional manner
Track leasing activity, traffic sources, and conversion metrics, and assist with preparing leasing reports
Support marketing initiatives including social media engagement, advertising campaigns, open houses, and community events
Collaborate with the property management and marketing teams to maintain strong leasing momentum and occupancy goals
Assist with suite readiness coordination, ensuring homes are presented to the highest standard for showings and move-ins
Foster positive relationships with current residents and prospective applicants, contributing to a welcoming community atmosphere
Ensure compliance with the BC Residential Tenancy Act and company policies
Provide feedback on market trends, competitor pricing, and renter preferences to support leasing strategy

Qualifications

2+ years of experience in leasing, property management, sales, or a customer service–focused role
Diploma or degree in business, commerce, marketing, real estate, or a related field is considered an asset
Strong interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills with a natural ability to build rapport
Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple inquiries and tasks simultaneously
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, sales-oriented environment
Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with Yardi, RentCafe, or other CRM/leasing platforms is an asset
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to site(s) as required
BCFSA Rental Management License (or willingness to obtain) is considered an asset
