About the Role
The Infracon Group of Companies is seeking reliable, safety-focused Civil Construction Labourers for potential upcoming civil construction, mining, and pipeline maintenance work across Western Canada.
This role is best suited for individuals who enjoy hands-on work, are comfortable working outdoors, and are willing to support a variety of field tasks in active construction environments. The successful candidate will assist supervisors, equipment operators, pipe crews, truck drivers, and other team members with general labour duties, site preparation, material handling, traffic control support, cleanup, and other project-related activities.
Our projects may include road construction, earthworks, drainage, utility installation, pipeline maintenance, mine support work, site development, reclamation, and civil infrastructure upgrades. We are looking for labourers who are dependable, hardworking, safety-minded, and willing to learn.

Key Responsibilities
General Labour Support
- Perform general labour duties to support civil construction, mining, and pipeline maintenance activities
- Assist equipment operators, supervisors, pipe crews, truck drivers, and other field personnel
- Support road construction, drainage, utility, earthworks, site development, and reclamation work
- Shovel, rake, grade, compact, place material, and perform hand work as required
- Load, unload, move, and organize materials, tools, signage, and equipment
- Assist with site preparation, cleanup, and general organization of work areas
- Support installation and removal of construction materials, fencing, barricades, signage, pipe, culverts, and erosion control measures
Field & Crew Support
- Work closely with supervisors, forepersons, labourers, operators, pipe crews, and truck drivers
- Support safe and efficient field operations by following direction and completing assigned tasks
- Act as a spotter when required and where properly trained
- Assist with basic measurements, grade checks, site markings, and layout support as directed
- Help maintain safe access routes, work zones, and material storage areas
- Adapt to changing project requirements, site conditions, weather, and priorities
- Represent the Infracon Group of Companies professionally on project sites
Tools, Materials & Site Organization
- Use hand tools, small equipment, and power tools safely and appropriately
- Maintain tools, equipment, and materials in good working condition
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of unnecessary hazards
- Support proper storage and handling of materials and supplies
- Assist with daily setup and shutdown activities
- Report damaged tools, missing materials, or site concerns to supervision
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all company, client, and project safety policies, procedures, and safe work practices
- Participate in daily safety meetings, toolbox talks, field-level hazard assessments, and site orientations
- Use required personal protective equipment at all times
- Maintain awareness around mobile equipment, haul trucks, traffic, excavations, slopes, utilities, and changing site conditions
- Identify and report hazards, incidents, near misses, or unsafe conditions
- Follow all site-specific rules, traffic management requirements, and safe work procedures
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, quality, teamwork, and productive work practices
What You Bring
- Previous civil construction, mining, pipeline, roadwork, or general labour experience is considered an asset
- Strong work ethic and willingness to perform physically demanding tasks
- Reliable, punctual, and willing to travel for project-based work
- Ability to follow direction and work safely as part of a team
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather and site conditions
- Ability to work around heavy equipment, trucks, tools, and active construction operations
- Willingness to learn and support a variety of project tasks
- Strong commitment to safety and following site procedures
Qualifications
- Previous construction labour experience is preferred but not required
- Experience in civil construction, mining, pipeline maintenance, road construction, drainage, utilities, reclamation, or earthworks is considered an asset
- Valid Class 5 driver’s licence and reliable transportation are preferred
- Traffic Control Person / Flagger certification is considered an asset
- Ground Disturbance, CSTS, WHMIS, First Aid, H2S Alive, or other safety certifications are considered assets depending on project requirements
- Ability to lift, carry, shovel, rake, and perform physical work throughout the shift
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and site conditions
- Ability to travel to project locations throughout Western Canada as required
- Must be eligible to work in Canada
- Drug and alcohol testing may be required depending on client, site, or project requirements
Working Conditions
- Project-based work in various locations throughout Western Canada
- Potential project areas may include Hope, 100 Mile House, Merritt, Dawson Creek, Kamloops, and surrounding regions
- Work may take place in civil construction, mining, industrial, pipeline, roadwork, reclamation, or remote project environments
- Outdoor work in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, snow, dust, mud, and uneven terrain
- Exposure to active equipment, traffic, noise, haul roads, slopes, excavations, tools, and changing site conditions
- Physically active role requiring standing, walking, lifting, carrying, shovelling, raking, and repetitive tasks
- Shift schedules, rotations, overtime, and travel requirements may vary by project
- Living out allowance, camp, travel, or other project-specific arrangements may apply depending on location and project terms
Compensation & Benefits
- Wage range of $25.00 – $28.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications
