Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals in a fast-paced kitchen environment. As a Sous Chef, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our guests receive exceptional dining experiences through delicious and well-presented dishes. Your attention to detail and commitment to food safety will contribute to the overall success of our kitchen operations.

This is a hands-on leadership position in a fast-paced, standards-driven kitchen. You’ll be involved in:

Leading, training, and developing the kitchen team
Maintaining consistency, systems, and execution
Supporting menu execution and refinement with the head chef
Daily operations, ordering, prep systems, and cost awareness

What really sets this role apart is our expansion plan. We’re actively developing multiple new locations, and we’re building a leadership team from within. Strong Sous Chefs will have a clear pathway toward:

Head Chef positions
Multi-unit or opening-team leadership
Long-term growth within the company

Duties

Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
Assist in meal preparation, including chopping, slicing, and marinating ingredients.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including cooking stations and storage areas.
Ensure proper food handling techniques are followed to maintain food safety standards.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and communicate needs to the kitchen manager.
Adhere to health and safety regulations within the kitchen environment.
Help train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques and food preparation methods.

Experience

Previous experience in a full service casual premium restaurant.
Knowledge of food handling, preparation, and safety practices within the food industry.
Familiarity with various cooking techniques, equipment, and kitchen tools.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards.
Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration in the kitchen setting.
A passion for cooking and a desire to learn new skills within the culinary field.
