A leading wholesale bank providing capital markets, investment banking, and advisory services worldwide. What You'll Do

Build and enhance backend systems for processing financial and liquidity data
Implement complex business logic and data transformations
Work with large datasets, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and consistency
Develop scalable, high-performance services using Scala
Collaborate with cross-functional teams across business, data, and technology
Contribute to system design, architecture discussions, and engineering best practices

What You Bring

5–7 years of backend development experience
Strong hands-on experience with Scala (core requirement)
Advanced SQL skills, including complex queries, joins, and data manipulation
Experience working with transactional and data-heavy systems
Solid computer science fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, system design)
Ability to write clean, maintainable, and scalable code
Experience working across distributed systems and data processing pipelines

Nice to have

Experience within Capital Markets or financial services
Exposure to liquidity or regulatory reporting systems

English level

Compensation Transparency: The expected compensation range for this role is $130-145/hr CAD, with eligibility for commission, bonus, or other incentive compensation where applicable. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, qualifications, geographic location within Canada, and business needs.
