Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Pastry <PERSON> to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in baking and pastry arts, with experience in cake decorating and food preparation. This role involves creating high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and presentation. The Pastry <PERSON> will contribute to delivering exceptional customer experiences through delicious and beautifully crafted treats in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Duties

Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, desserts, and baked goods according to established recipes and standards
Decorate cakes and pastries with precision, creativity, and attention to detail
Assist in food preparation tasks including mixing, portioning, and assembling ingredients
Ensure all baked items meet quality standards for taste, appearance, and freshness
Handle food safely by following proper food handling and sanitation procedures
Package baked goods for retail or catering purposes with care to maintain presentation quality
Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including equipment, utensils, and work surfaces
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy periods
Adhere to food safety regulations and restaurant policies at all times

Requirements

Proven experience in baking, pastry arts, or a related culinary field; restaurant experience preferred
Skills in cake decorating and food presentation techniques
Knowledge of food handling safety standards and sanitation practices
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Strong understanding of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations
Excellent customer service skills when interacting with guests or team members
Experience with packaging baked goods for retail or catering is a plus
Kitchen experience within the food industry is highly desirable
