Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Kitchen Team Member to join our dynamic food service team. This role involves assisting with meal preparation, food handling, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. It also includes front-end responsibilities such as serving customers, handling orders, operating the cash register, and maintaining accurate cash handling procedures. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, excellent teamwork skills, and a commitment to food safety standards. This position offers an opportunity to gain valuable experience in the food industry while providing excellent customer service.

Duties

Assist in preparing and cooking meals according to established recipes and standards
Serve food efficiently and courteously to customers
Handle food safely, following all health and safety regulations
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen stations, utensils, and equipment
Support meal assembly and presentation to ensure quality standards are met
Follow proper food handling procedures during preparation and serving
Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy periods
Wrap, package, price, and weigh food products
Address customer concerns and ensure customer satisfaction
Assist customers with inquiries, orders, and product recommendations
Maintain cleanliness and organization of front counter and service areas
Balance and reconcile cash register (till) at the beginning and end of shifts
Operate cash register/POS system and process cash, debit, and credit transactions
Provide front-end customer service including taking orders and handling payments

Requirements

Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required
Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Willingness to learn new skills related to food preparation and kitchen operations
Food handling certification or willingness to obtain one is a plus
Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends or holidays if needed

This role is vital in delivering high-quality food service experiences. We value dedication, attention to detail, and a positive attitude from all team members.

Pay: $17.60 per hour
