Full job description

We are a faith-based early learning program committed to nurturing the whole child—spiritually, emotionally, socially, and intellectually. Required Credentials:

Current First Aid and CPR certification (specific to child care settings)
Alberta Child Care Certification – Level 2/3
Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search (dated within 6 months of hire)

Qualifications & Requirements:

Montessori training or a strong interest in Montessori philosophy (preferred)
Experience working with preschool-aged children
Strong observation, communication, and classroom management skills
A warm, patient, and professional approach to working with children and families

Required Skills and Responsibilities:

Experience working with young children in a licensed child care setting
Ability to lead daily classroom routines and maintain a calm, nurturing learning environment
Support children’s social-emotional development, independence, and positive behavior
Provide daily care routines, including meals, hygiene, and rest, with respect and consistency
Plan and implement developmentally appropriate, child-centered programming
Observe and document children’s learning to support individualized planning
Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with licensing standards
Communicate effectively with families, colleagues, and the Director
Participate in staff meetings and collaborate as part of a supportive team

Work Conditions and Physical Requirements:

Ability to bend, crouch, kneel, and lift up to 25 lbs as part of daily routines and caregiving tasks
