Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a skilled MIG and TIG Welder to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have experience in welding, blueprint reading, and mechanical assembly, with a strong focus on precision and safety. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects including ductwork, structural components, and custom fabrications. Candidates should possess a solid understanding of various welding techniques and related manufacturing processes to contribute effectively to our production goals.

Responsibilities

Perform MIG and TIG welding on a variety of materials following detailed blueprints and schematics
Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions
Operate hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment
Rigging and positioning materials using cranes or forklifts as needed
Use calipers, basic math skills, and measuring tools to ensure precise fabrication standards
Assist with machining tasks and assembly of welded components
Conduct quality checks on finished welds for structural integrity and adherence to specifications
Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols and proper equipment handling

Skills

Proficiency in MIG welding and TIG welding techniques
Mechanical knowledge related to fabrication processes and equipment operation
Experience with rigging, crane operation, forklift handling, and material movement
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
Familiarity with plasma cutting, press brake machines, hand tools, power tools, and basic math calculations
Knowledge of manufacturing standards related to ductwork, construction components, or similar industries
Strong understanding of schematics for assembly and fabrication tasks
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high safety standards

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $26.00 per hour

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Oshawa, ON
