Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Lead Hand to oversee our daily frozen pierogi operations at our location. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a solid background in food service, and the ability to manage a team effectively. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring quality standards, and maintaining excellent customer service. The Lead Hand will play a vital role in supporting management and ensuring smooth operations on daily basis.

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate daily food preparation to ensure high-quality standards are met.
Oversee food handling and safety procedures in compliance with health regulations.
Manage POS systems, including Micros POS and cash handling responsibilities.
Lead and motivate team members, providing guidance on food service
Assist in interviewing and onboarding new staff members to build a skilled and efficient team.
Support management with scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.
Ensure adherence to food safety standards and sanitation protocols across the kitchen
Handle customer inquiries
Work side by side with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery during busy periods.
Maintain a clean, organized work environment conducive to efficient operations.

Skills

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service roles.
Supervising experience within the food industry or restaurant management is required
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively.
Excellent customer service skills with a focus on hospitality excellence.
Proficiency with POS system; cash handling experience is essential.
Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with food production operations (big volumes), including interviewing new staff and managing schedules.
Strong communication skills combined with the ability to motivate team members and foster a positive work environment. Pay: $21.00-$24.00 per hour
