Eagleeye Bookkeeping Inc. is a growing bookkeeping firm located in downtown Kelowna. We provide accurate, complete, and audit-ready bookkeeping services to small and medium-sized businesses across a variety of industries.
We are seeking a motivated Junior Bookkeeper who is eager to learn, embraces accountability, enjoys solving problems, and takes pride in producing accurate work. This role is ideal for someone who has a solid accounting foundation and is looking to grow their technical skills under the mentorship of experienced bookkeeping professionals.

This is a full-time, in-office position located in Kelowna, BC. Remote work is not available.
Position Summary
The Junior Bookkeeper supports the accounting team by performing day-to-day bookkeeping and data management for multiple clients. This role focuses on accurate data entry, account reconciliations, client support, and assisting with monthly and year-end bookkeeping processes.
The successful candidate will work under the supervision of a Senior Bookkeeper or Accounting Manager while developing the technical and professional skills necessary to manage increasingly complex client files.
Key Responsibilities
Bookkeeping & Data Management
- Perform data entry with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processing
- Record bills, expenses, deposits, and journal entries
- Perform bank, credit card, and general ledger reconciliations
- Assist with month-end bookkeeping procedures
- Assist with GST and PST filings
- Assist with payroll processing and remittances
- Maintain organized and complete digital client files
- Review transactions for accuracy and identify discrepancies
Client Reporting
- Assist with preparing monthly financial statements and reports
- Support the review and correction of bookkeeping discrepancies
- Maintain complete and accurate supporting documentation
- Communicate professionally with clients regarding document requests and bookkeeping inquiries
Year-End Support
- Assist with year-end reviews and reconciliations
- Prepare supporting schedules and working papers
- Assist with gathering documentation required for year-end packages
- Ensure client records are complete and audit-ready
Team Collaboration & Development
- Participate actively in training and professional development
- Accept coaching and feedback positively
- Demonstrate initiative in finding solutions and improving processes
- Support team members during busy periods and deadline-driven projects

Qualifications
Required
- Bookkeeping Certificate, Accounting Diploma, or higher
- Minimum 1-2 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience (internships and practicum experience considered)
- Experience using QuickBooks Online, Sage, Xero, or similar accounting software
- Intermediate computer skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Understanding of basic bookkeeping principles
- Understanding of account reconciliations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Ability to work full-time in-office in Kelowna, BC
Preferred
- Experience in a bookkeeping firm or accounting practice
- Experience managing multiple client files
- Experience with payroll processing
- Experience preparing GST and PST returns
- Experience working in cloud-based accounting environments

Conditions of Employment
The successful candidate will be required to:
- Successfully complete a Criminal Record Check
- Obtain and maintain QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor Certification
- Obtain and maintain QuickBooks Online Advanced ProAdvisor Certification
- Maintain eligibility to work in Canada
- Work on-site at our Kelowna office
Candidates who do not currently hold ProAdvisor Certifications may still be considered; however, successful completion of these certifications will be a condition of hire and continued employment.
