Job Overview

We are seeking a talented **Game Developer** with expertise in Unity and Unreal Engine to join our Vancouver-based studio. In this role, you will design, develop, and optimize interactive game show experiences for web and mobile platforms. You will work closely with designers, artists, and QA to bring innovative ideas to life and ensure a polished, engaging experience for our players.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement interactive game mechanics and systems using Unity and/or Unreal Engine.
Collaborate with designers, artists, and other developers to create high-quality game content.
Optimize performance and troubleshoot technical issues across multiple platforms (web, mobile, and streaming environments).
Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including design, coding, testing, deployment, and updates.
Integrate APIs, third-party tools, and back-end services to enhance game functionality.
Maintain and update documentation for development processes, assets, and technical systems.
Stay current with emerging gaming technologies, tools, and trends to innovate gameplay experiences.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Game Development, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Proven experience developing games using Unity and/or Unreal Engine.
Strong programming skills in C# (Unity) or C++ (Unreal Engine).
Solid understanding of game design principles, interactive mechanics, and user experience.
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows.
Ability to troubleshoot, debug, and optimize game performance.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Passion for gaming and creating engaging, interactive experiences.

Preferred Skills

Experience with AR/VR or live-streamed interactive games.
Knowledge of multiplayer networking and server-client architecture.
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
