Compensation Range: Between $57,500 - $107,500 CDN annually

The LCMM’s role is to provide the support necessary for maintaining CP140 avionics systems in order to meet the demands of the operational fleet.

This is done by liaising with various parts of a greater team – DND; Engineering; Supply Chain Management; Repair and Overhaul; Contracts; Integrated Logistics Support; Configuration and Data Management. Ensuring the fleet and its maintainers are supplied with sufficient serviceable spare parts and components, reliable component repair and overhaul, up to date technical data and the tools needed, the LCMM aims to minimize aircraft downtime and increase aircraft availability.

System health monitoring and risk management are essential practices, and DND processes such as Corrective Maintenance Program Change (CMPC), Alternate Part Approval Form (APAF), Aircraft Inspection Change Proposal (AICP) and Aircraft Modification Approval Form (AMAF) are utilized for providing technical solutions and improvements to the aircraft platform.

Essential Functions:

Provide CP140 avionics system support for the lifecycle of the aircraft and its components.
Liaise with stakeholders to facilitate progress of aircraft sustainment and betterment functions.
Provide technical support to DND maintenance and operating units.
Perform specialized avionics upgrades and modifications.
Provide technical support to technicians, supply personnel and engineers.
Carry out other duties as required.

Qualifications:

Technologist diploma or equivalent training and experience, preferably in a military environment.
Previous experience in the maintenance and support of DND avionics.
Familiarity with Canadian Air Force support infrastructure and processes.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Knowledge of CP140 avionics.

Eligibility Criteria:

Must be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program;
Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government of Canada Reliability status and Secret Level 2/NATO Secret security clearance;
Must be eligible to meet the requirements for U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
