Full job description

PDI Bulk is looking for a Dispatcher at our Nisku, AB location

What you’ll do as the DISPATCHER:

Day to day activities related to a dispatch role
Computerized dispatch within TMW system
Fleet Monitoring & workflow using Isaac software
Ensure trucks are loaded according to customer requested weights and assigned to the proper destination
Monitor wash schedules, schedule arrival and departure times
Respond & provide solutions to both driver questions & concerns
Ensure Clear communication with CSR’s, Shop, Drivers, and Terminal Supervisors
Ensure DOT & MTO requirements are met & complied with daily
Assist with driver skills i.e.: Self-Loading/Unloading, ISAAC, Hours of Service, Company Policy and Procedures, Regulations, etc.
Communicate & problem solve with drivers
Work with Delta Dispatch for fleet optimization
Provide back up dispatch for Delta BC as needed

Requirements and Qualifications:

Bulk dispatch and tanker experience is an asset
Good computer skills and software experience including TMW, Isaacs, Teams, Excel, Outlook, Customs software
Great communication skills both verbally and written
Build strong working relationships with drivers, PDI CSR’s and customers
Works well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Highly organized and able to prioritize/multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Effective at problem solving and multi-tasking
Works well independently and with little supervision
High attention to detail
Previous dispatch work experience within a warehousing, logistics or transportation industry, an asset
Ability to manage competing priorities and adhere to strict deadlines
Geographical knowledge of Western Canada
Laptop & cell phone is provided

Hours:

Day Shift- Monday – Friday (40 - 45 hours per week)
Overtime and weekends as needed

Experience:

TMW, Isaacs, Teams, Excel, Outlook, Customs software: 1 year (preferred)
Dispatching: 3 year (preferred)
Bulk Dispatching considered an asset
