ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking an Occupational Health & Safety expert who is passionate about the industry to join us for the role of Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) Instructor at our North York campus.

The projected start date for this role: July 6,2026

IMPORTANT:

Required schedule of Monday to Friday, AM Classes (9am to 1pm)
This is a remote position for virtual classes
Certified Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) designation is mandatory for this role.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Observe students to determine qualifications, limitations, abilities, interests, and other individual characteristics
Establish clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects and communicate those objectives effectively to students
Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students’ varying needs, abilities, and interests
Prepare students for further education by encouraging them to explore learning opportunities and to persevere with challenging tasks
Prepare materials and classrooms for class activities in advance
Instruct students in groups, using various teaching methods, such as lectures, discussions, and demonstrations
Provide clear, precise, and consistent direction and support to students

REQUIRED SKILLS:

Must be willing to work as a part of a collaborative and growing team· Excellent track record in service & support
Exceptional track record in communication, influence, collaboration, and teamwork
Experience in an environment which requires "out of the box" thinking
Previous training and/or facilitation experience considered an asset
Ability to complete tasks effectively with minimal supervision
Satisfactory CPIC Criminal Background Check and Employment References
Proven ability to set and achieve goals· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Occupational Health & Safety Diploma or equivalent
At least 4 years of local experience working in Occupational Health & Safety
Must have Certified Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) certification
Teaching experience is an asset
