Overview

Reporting directly to the President and Chief Executive Officer, the Executive Assistant to the President is a highly trusted partner who enables the effective operation of the President’s office at the executive leadership level of the organization.

In this role, you will operate at the centre of enterprise decision-making, providing strategic and administrative support to ensure the President can effectively lead and deliver on organizational priorities. This position requires exceptional discretion, sound judgment, and the ability to manage sensitive and complex matters involving executive leadership, the Board of Directors, and government stakeholders.

You will play a key role in coordinating enterprise-level activities, anticipating needs, and ensuring alignment across internal teams and external partners.

How you’ll make a difference: You’ll provide trusted support at an executive level, enabling effective leadership and decision-making that benefits workers and employers across B.C.

Where you’ll work:

In this role, you will work primarily on-site in our Richmond office (4–5 days per week), working in step with the President and CEO’s in-office schedule.

What you'll do

Act as a trusted partner to the President, managing a complex and dynamic calendar, inbox, and competing priorities.
Receive, triage, and direct all correspondence addressed to the President, exercising sound judgment in handling sensitive and confidential matters.
Draft and prepare high-quality correspondences, briefing materials, reports, and responses on behalf of the President.
Coordinate and support enterprise-level meetings and events, including leadership retreats and executive decision-making forums by:
- Preparing agendas and materials.
- Managing logistics and meeting technology.
- Capturing minutes and ensuring follow-up on action items.
Maintain strong, effective relationships with internal leadership, the Board of Directors office, and external stakeholders, including government partners.
Collaborate closely with Executive Operations and provide coordination and guidance across administrative teams as needed.
Support Board-related activities, including onboarding and orientation coordination for new Board members.
Provide proactive support by anticipating needs, identifying risks, and ensuring timely resolution of issues.
Contribute to enterprise initiatives.

Your background and experience

University degree in Business Administration, Political Science, or a related discipline.
Minimum of 8 years of progressively responsible experience, including direct support to senior executives (C-suite experience preferred).
Experience interacting with Boards of Directors and/or government stakeholders is a strong asset.
Demonstrated ability to handle highly confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
Proven experience supporting complex, enterprise-level priorities and executive decision-making.
Strong proficiency with office systems, communication tools, and meeting technologies.
