Join Our Team as a Receiver!
Rainforest Cafe is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Receiver to join our team in Niagara Falls. This role is essential to the smooth operation of our restaurant by ensuring all deliveries are accurately received, inspected, organized, and distributed to the appropriate departments.

Tasks may include, but are not limited to:
- Receiving, unloading, and processing deliveries and account for incoming freight based on invoice and receiving reports
- Assisting in the efficient operations of the kitchen by ensuring maintenance and distribution of materials and supplies.
- Verify quantity and condition of packages upon receipt prior to delivery to conference groups and guests.
- Filling and delivering requisitions to departments
- Pricing requisitions
- Maintaining food storage room
- Taking inventory
- Secure the receiving room and its contents, ensuring safekeeping of packages.
- Maintain accurate tracking system on all shipping and receiving transactions, including receiving guest signatures for received packages.
- Communicate with proper management regarding any loss or damage with packages.
- All other duties as assigned.
What we’re looking for:
- Previous experience in shipping and receiving an asset.
- Service and teamwork-oriented individual.
- Positive and outgoing personality.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain professional composure at all times, regardless of issue, while performing multiple tasks with multiple guests/ items/products.
- Ability to quickly respond to changing work volume; high-energy level/speed
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Good computer skills.
- Knowledge of food products.
- Secondary School Graduate Diploma preferred; minimum Grade 10 or the equivalent.
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job (i.e., lifting up to 50 lbs.).
