Full job description

Our client, a long-standing and reputable company, is seeking a meticulous and dedicated Financial Accountant to join their family office. This is a unique opportunity to become an integral part of a small, collaborative team, directly contributing to the financial health and organization of various family office entities. If you are a detail-oriented professional with strong accounting software skills and a humble, process-driven approach, this role offers significant potential for long-term career growth.

This position is ideal for an individual who excels at managing daily financial tasks, possesses a keen eye for detail, and is eager to develop within a supportive environment. You will play a crucial role in maintaining financial clarity and supporting key financial operations.

Work Arrangement: Fully in-office in North York, ON

Responsibilities:

Manage QuickBooks expenses and accurately transform them into detailed spreadsheets to help inform strategic decision-making.
Perform daily spreadsheet management, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
Oversee and track property-related expenses for various operating companies.
Assist with various filings and tax preparations for small operating businesses.
Reconcile expense reports and manage daily spreadsheets, adhering to existing processes.

Qualifications:

CPA required
?Intermediate to Advanced Excel knowledge, including proficiency with pivot tables, functions, and converting PDFs to spreadsheets.
Proficiency with QuickBooks
Strong critical thinking skills to creatively solve problems while meticulously following established processes.
Experience in a family office or a small accounting firm dealing with owner-operators and small businesses is considered beneficial.
