A note before you apply: This role is built around Google Analytics 4 (GA4). You will be the person on our team who lives in GA4 every day, delivering marketing channel dashboards and insights on a weekly basis across Paid Media (SEM, Display, YouTube, and similar), Paid Social, Email, SEO, and on-site performance. This is not a role for someone who reviews dashboards someone else configured. If GA4 is not part of how you deliver reporting in your current role, this is not the right fit. You must be a GA4 expert and in an analytics role
Role Summary: We are looking for a Marketing Analytics Analyst to own Google Analytics GA4 reporting and insights across our digital marketing channels and broader ecommerce operation. You will be the team's GA4 subject matter expert and go-to for understanding what is working, what is not, and where the opportunity is across Paid Media (SEM, Display, YouTube, and similar), Paid Social, Email, SEO, and on-site performance, including how it shows up by product category and connects to in-store results. We are a retail business with both an ecommerce presence and a physical store footprint. This role needs to understand that online marketing influences in-store sales, not just direct online conversion. We are also in the process of rethinking our data infrastructure, from GA4, Shopify, and BigQuery through to Power BI dashboards and data connectors. This person will help us build that foundation. We work with a complex internal database, and we need someone who is comfortable navigating imperfect data and connecting it to clean, reliable reporting. If you are strong in GA4 and marketing analytics and want to grow into the broader technical side of data, this role gives you the room to do that.
What you will do:
Channel Reporting and Insights
- Own GA4 as the single source of truth for channel reporting: Paid Media (SEM, Display, YouTube, and similar), Paid Social, Email, SEO, and on-site.
- Track core KPIs (revenue, sessions, AOV, average purchases per transaction, transactions, conversion rate, ROAS, CPC, CTR, by channel and product category, trended over time rather than as one-off snapshots.
- Turn that into visualized, decision-ready insights, not just recaps, and present them to both channel owners and leadership.
- Connect online signals (brand search, direct traffic, GA4 engagement) to in-store performance.
- Support broader ecommerce and marketing analytics: funnel performance, customer behavior, campaign ROI.
- Work directly with channel owners to understand what's driving performance and where reporting needs to flex to stay useful.
Data and Reporting Infrastructure
- Own GA4 and Google Tag Manager configuration, including UTM tracking conventions and campaign taxonomy.
- Build and maintain dashboards across Power BI, Looker Studio, and Excel, including the central marketing performance dashboard the broader team relies on.
- Work with Shopify, our internal database, and BigQuery to connect data sources and keep reporting accurate.
- Partner with IT, ecommerce and digital marketing team on the broader digital data ecosystem: evaluating connector tools, flagging gaps, and helping shape how systems connect.
- Use AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot) to speed up repetitive tasks and ad hoc analysis.
What you bring:
- Current, hands-on ownership of GA4 reporting across multiple digital channels, for at least 2 years in current or past role. This is a must.
- Deep GA4 fluency: you configure events, conversions, and custom dimensions yourself, not just view pre-built reports.
- Reporting experience across Paid Media (SEM, Display, YouTube, and similar) and Paid Social specifically, plus Email.
- You excel at Excel and can build dashboards across Power BI, Looker Studio, and digital marketing platforms.
- Comfortable with messy, unorganized data. You can find the signal in it without waiting for someone to clean it up.
- You think in insights and actions, not just reports, and can visualize and present that clearly to a non-technical audience.
- Understands how digital channels work and how to work with channel owners directly, not just hand them a static report.
- Experience in a retail business with both an ecommerce presence and physical stores.
- Comfortable being a thought partner to IT and leadership on the digital data ecosystem, not just an execution-level report builder.
- Google Analytics certification.
Assets (Nice to Have):
- Experience with Shopify or similar ecommerce platforms.
- An understand that online marketing drives in-store sales, not just direct online conversion, and you know how to use directional signals to show that impact.
- Experience with Google BigQuery or Microsoft Fabric.
- Working knowledge of SQL.
- Hands-on implementation experience with connector tools such as Supermetrics or similar.
- Diploma or degree in marketing, analytics, data, or a related field.
What’s In it for you:
- Freedom! You will be empowered to make decisions based on your expertise and supportive data.
- Unbeatable employee discount. So great we can’t print it.
- Comprehensive benefits package including dental care, extended health care, life insurance, and a health spending account
- The best team in town. We may not be the biggest team, but we are mighty. We work as partners and help each other. You’re gonna love it here.
