Full job description

Overview
We are seeking PERMANENT a skilled and detail-oriented Moldmaker STEADY DAYS to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, fabricating, and maintaining molds used in the production process. This role requires strong mechanical knowledge, proficiency with CAD software, and experience with CNC machinery. The Moldmaker plays a critical part in ensuring high-quality manufacturing outputs through precise machining and assembly of molds.

Duties

Design and develop molds using CAD software such as SolidWorks and Schematics.
Program CNC machines including CNC lathe, CNC milling machines, and other machining equipment using CNC programming techniques.
Fabricate molds by machining, welding, and assembling components with hand tools and precision measuring instruments like calipers.
Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and mathematical calculations to ensure accurate mold construction.
Perform maintenance, repairs, and modifications on existing molds to meet production specifications.
Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to optimize mold designs for efficiency and durability.
Conduct quality inspections of molds to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment adhering to safety protocols.

Skills

Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and other CAD software for mold design.
Experience with CNC programming and operation of CNC lathe and CNC milling machines.
Strong mechanical knowledge related to machining, assembly, welding, and mold fabrication processes.
Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and mathematical data accurately.
Skilled in the use of hand tools, calipers, and precision measurement devices.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes including machining, welding, and assembly techniques.
Familiarity with schematics and CAD drawings for complex mold components.
Excellent problem-solving skills with an emphasis on precision machining and quality control. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic manufacturing environment where technical expertise is valued. Candidates should possess a strong foundation in machining, CAD design, and mechanical assembly to succeed in this role as a Moldmaker.

Pay: $27.00-$35.00 per hour
