Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate Pastry Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in baking and pastry arts, with experience in creating visually appealing and delicious desserts. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase creativity and craftsmanship in a dynamic food industry environment. The Pastry Chef will be responsible for preparing a variety of baked goods, desserts, and pastries, ensuring high standards of quality, presentation, and food safety are maintained at all times. A background in catering experience and excellent customer service skills are highly valued to deliver an exceptional dining experience for our guests.

Responsibilities

Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, cakes, and desserts according to established recipes and standards
Decorate cakes and pastries with artistic flair using cake decorating techniques
Ensure all food handling and safety protocols are strictly followed in compliance with health regulations
Assist with food preparation tasks including ingredient measurement, mixing, and portioning
Package baked goods for retail or catering purposes while maintaining presentation quality
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry kitchen, including equipment sanitation
Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new dessert menus and seasonal offerings
Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about menu items and offering recommendations when needed

Experience

Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role within a restaurant or bakery setting
Strong skills in cake decorating, baking, food preparation, and food safety practices
Knowledge of kitchen equipment operation and maintenance
Experience in the food industry with an understanding of food handling regulations
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
Familiarity with packaging techniques for retail or catering distribution is a plus
Previous experience in customer service environments is advantageous
