Job Summary

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and quality standards, ensuring consistency and presentation excellence
Assist in menu planning and ingredient preparation to support kitchen operations during busy weekends
Maintain food safety and sanitation standards by following proper handling procedures and cleaning protocols
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient meal preparation and timely service during peak hours
Handle food with care, demonstrating strong knife skills and attention to detail in food presentation
Support catering events or special requests by preparing dishes that meet customer expectations
Ensure all kitchen equipment is used safely and maintained properly, adhering to health regulations

Qualifications

Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or a restaurant environment is highly preferred
Knowledge of dietary department practices and dietary aide experience is a plus
Strong culinary skills including knife proficiency, meal preparation, and food handling techniques
Familiarity with food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and kitchen safety protocols
Experience with menu planning, fine dining standards, or catering services is advantageous
Excellent teamwork and communication skills to coordinate effectively within a fast-paced setting
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks during weekend shifts
