Full job description

Our client, a manufacturing/distribution company located in the Canada is looking for a Bilingual Senior Accounting Manager (Remote) to join their team.

What you will do in this role:

Lead and manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes for U.S. and Canadian entities
Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, and financial statements
Manage consolidations, intercompany transactions, and multi-currency accounting activities
Analyze financial results, variances, KPIs, and overall business performance
Support budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and management reporting processes
Develop financial reports and dashboards using Power BI, Excel, and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D-365)
Prepare executive, board, and operational reporting packages and provide ad hoc financial analysis
Ensure compliance with payroll taxes, GST/HST, sales tax, and cross-border regulatory requirements
Coordinate external audits, prepare audit schedules, and support financial statement audit requests
Strengthen internal controls, accounting procedures, and process documentation to ensure compliance and best practices
Participate in ERP optimization, automation, and continuous process improvement initiatives
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, purchasing, logistics, and leadership to improve reporting accuracy and efficiency
Provide leadership, technical guidance, and support to junior accounting staff
Support special projects and business transformation initiatives as required

What you will bring to the role:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field
CPA designation required
Minimum 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience
Strong knowledge of ASPE, U.S. GAAP, and financial reporting requirements
Experience with U.S. and Canadian tax laws and compliance requirements
Experience in inventory-based, manufacturing, distribution, or supply chain-focused businesses strongly preferred
Strong understanding of full-cycle accounting and financial reporting
Experience working in multi-entity and multi-currency environments
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial systems; experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations and Power BI is considered a strong asset
Experience supporting audits and working with external auditors
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Fully bilingual in English and French (written and spoken).
