Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Helper to support our culinary team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will assist with food preparation, maintain cleanliness, and ensure smooth kitchen operations. This role offers an opportunity to gain valuable experience in the food industry while contributing to a welcoming dining experience for our guests.

Duties

Assist with meal preparation and food handling under the supervision of chefs and kitchen staff
Support food service operations by preparing ingredients and organizing supplies
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, utensils, and equipment in accordance with food safety standards
Help with basic cooking tasks as needed, including chopping, assembling, and plating dishes
Ensure proper storage of ingredients and leftovers following safety protocols
Follow all health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment
Support team members during busy hours to ensure timely service

Skills

Basic cooking skills and familiarity with food preparation techniques
Previous restaurant or food industry experience is preferred but not required
Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment
Good organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting and bending
Strong communication skills and a positive attitude toward learning new skills
