Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a high-paced kitchen environment. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing ingredients, cooking menu items according to specifications, and maintaining a clean and organized workstation. You will work collaboratively with the rest of the kitchen staff to ensure timely and quality meals for our guests.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines.
Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies, ingredients, and equipment before the start of service.
Maintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitation of work areas throughout service.
Follow proper food handling and safety procedures (e.g., HACCP, ServSafe standards).
Operate kitchen equipment such as grills, fryers, ovens, broilers, and slicers safely and efficiently.
Assist with prep work including chopping vegetables, making sauces, marinating proteins, and portioning ingredients.
Monitor food quality, taste, and presentation to ensure consistency and satisfaction.
Communicate effectively with other kitchen staff and front-of-house team to ensure smooth service.
Assist in receiving, labeling, and rotating inventory to ensure freshness and minimize waste.
Adhere to all restaurant policies, procedures, and cleanliness standards.
Contribute to a positive and respectful kitchen environment.

Experience

Minimum [1-2] years of experience as a line cook or in a similar kitchen role.
Knowledge of cooking techniques, kitchen safety, and sanitation standards.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
Flexible schedule with availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
