The ITS HR Technology team is part of Business Enablement Services and provides the effective delivery of HR technology-related applications implementations, enhancements, maintenance, integration, and operational support and reporting.
The Junior HR Technology Solutions Analyst works in partnership with senior team members to deliver operational and project support for the HR applications supported by the team.
The position requires basic knowledge of HR processes and practices, a strong aptitude for business systems analysis, systems implementation and maintenance experience, a desire to make a career in HR technology, and the flexibility to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
The ITS HR Technology team is based at the Toronto Vaughan office but works primarily from home with occasional days in the office for team meetings.
What you will do:
- Perform basic configuration and security maintenance within HR applications (PeopleSoft/other HCM applications, ICIMS/other recruiting applications) and/or partner with vendors to achieve required outcomes

Provide technical support for HR applications by troubleshooting low-to-medium complexity system problems; escalate issues requiring coding program fixes or fixes outside the scope of HR Technology to Senior Solutions Analyst/Senior Manager

Collaborate and partner effectively with the team in problem solving and managing work capacity by using team work-intake processes and working to gain and share knowledge across the applications supported by the HR Technology team

Partner with a Senior Solutions Analyst/Senior Manager on new solutions or enhancements to existing solutions, with low to medium complexity

Support business process requirements assessment by participating in requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders and SMEs

Contribute to formal requirements and functional/technical specifications documentation and operational procedure documents

Draft and execute test plans under guidance of low to medium complexity, document issues, and liaise effectively with team members/SMEs, developers and/or vendors to troubleshoot and resolve issues
What you bring to this role:
- Degree or diploma in Information Technology/Business

1 to 2 years work experience within an HR or HR Technology environment in a junior business systems analysis role

Basic knowledge and experience with 1-2 integrated HR applications (PeopleSoft and/or SAP/SuccessFactors and/or specialized applications, e.g., Recruitment solutions)

Software skills:
- Intermediate: Microsoft Excel, Word

Basic: Other Microsoft product family, including Teams, Outlook, Visio, PowerPoint, Project, Access

Ability to think conceptually, problem-solve, and create application solutions to address straightforward business needs

Developing business analysis and impact analysis skills

Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to business users in their language

Ability to manage work across several systems and projects with competing priorities and timelines, with management guidance
-
Consistent attention to detail to produce accurate and high-quality work

Strong customer service orientation and interpersonal skills

Introductory project management experience as a project team member
KPMG Ontario Region Pay Range Information
The expected base salary range for this position is $47,000 to $71,500 and may be eligible for bonus awards. The determination of an applicant’s base salary within this range is based on the individual’s location, skills & competencies, and unique qualifications. In addition, KPMG offers a comprehensive and competitive Total Rewards program.
