is a large custom metal fabricator in Kitchener, Ontario, supplying custom and specialty fabrications to contractors and job sites in Canada and the United States.

Our complete customized fabrications, coupled with front end planning, scheduling, quality control, modern equipment, and facilities have made us a leader in this fast track, technology driven field.

We offer comprehensive, quality custom metal fabrication in carbon, alloy, stainless and aluminum for:

Structural Steel Platforms, Supports and Guards
Handrails, Stairs and Ladders Towers, Mezzanines, Catwalks, Custom Frames
Wind Tunnels, Scrubbers and Ducting
Tanks, Silencers, SCR’s, Venturi’s, Stacks, Monopoles, Clairifiers
Conveyors and Conveyor Supports, Chutes
Lintels, Bollards, Chutes and other Miscellaneous Metals
Carbon and Stainless Steel, Aluminum, and other Specialty Metals

We are seeking a skilled Controller with a minimum 5-10 years experience and a college diploma in finance. This individual will need to self manage and to be skilled at time management and work as required to finish all duties. They will need to be a team player in our small office environment.

DUTIES INCLUDE:

- Preparation of accurate monthly financial statements and year-end supporting schedules, reconciling all balance sheet accounts and analysis of income statement in preparation for Accounting firm's review

- compilation of required information for SR&ED yearly filing

- daily cash monitoring

- accounts receivable collection emails/calls and weekly review with President

- approval of accounts receivable invoicing

- approval of new customers and establishing credit limit

- approval of accounts payable invoices and handle accounts payable inquiries

- review of payables before cheque runs

- completion and filing for eligible subsidies or required surveys

- responsible for all requirements needed by government auditors

- bi-weekly salary payroll preparation and input

- daily balancing and bi-weekly approval of hourly payroll

- yearly calculation and payout of vacation pay

- maintain wage spreadsheet for yearly wage increases

- record keeping of employees vacations, absenteeism

- maintain employee personnel records

- completion of Record of Employment (ROE's)

- prepare yearly reconciliations for payroll related accounts (T4's, T5's, EHT, WSIB, Pension)

- administration of employee benefit programs

- group benefits, company pension, safety glasses, safety footwear

- liaison between employees and Empire Life (group benefits); Manulife Life (pension); Hakim Optical (safety glasses) - group benefits annual review with Cremasco

- pension stewardship review with Cremasco & Manulife

- banking errands (mileage paid)

- Manage Sr. Accounting Clerk

- Manage Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT's)

- internal IT administration duties
