Full job description

Position Overview

Canadian Custom Apparel is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Heat Press Operator to join our production team. This role is responsible for applying DTF transfers, heat transfer vinyl, names, numbers, and custom graphics to a wide variety of apparel and promotional products.

The ideal candidate is organized, quality-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment where accuracy and efficiency are essential.

ResponsibilitiesHeat Press Production

Operate commercial heat press equipment to apply DTF transfers, heat transfer vinyl, names, numbers, and logos
Follow production work orders and placement specifications accurately
Ensure proper temperature, pressure, and dwell times for each application
Perform quality checks before, during, and after production
Align artwork consistently and accurately on garments
Remove carrier sheets and inspect finished products for defects

Apparel Preparation & Finishing

Sort and organize garments by order
Verify garment sizes, colours, and quantities before production
Fold, bag, and prepare completed orders for shipping
Assist with packaging and order fulfillment
Maintain organized workstations and inventory of transfers and supplies

Production Support

Assist with DTF transfer preparation and organization
Work closely with the print and embroidery departments to meet production deadlines
Identify and report quality concerns immediately
Maintain production records and completed order counts
Follow all workplace safety procedures

QualificationsRequired

Strong attention to detail
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Ability to stand for extended periods
Ability to lift and move boxes up to 30 lbs
Strong organizational skills
Positive attitude and willingness to learn

Preferred

Experience operating heat press equipment
Experience in custom apparel, screen printing, embroidery, or promotional products
Familiarity with DTF transfers, HTV, and garment decoration
Experience with apparel quality control and order fulfillment
