Full job description

The Window Design Group, was established in 1991 to fabricate commercial and residential thermally aluminum window products for high-rise new construction and the renovation industry.

Thanks to our on-going marketplace research, AWD products can be custom-designed to meet supplied specifications on a per project basis. Our wide range of products includes: thermal aluminum windows and window wall systems, Unitized curtain wall, envelope cladding, swing doors, sliding balcony doors, and steel insulated aluminum framed doors, the Euro Door, aluminum glass balcony doors, sliding, awning and casement windows.

Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Laborer to join our Railings Fabrication team. The ideal candidate will assist with various tasks to support our production requirements. This is a great opportunity for individuals looking to gain experience in the construction industry as well as to grow and develop.

Responsibilities:

Manually move raw materials, finished product, and equipment throughout the plant.
Use tools/ power tools to perform required work.
Assist machine operators, and coworkers with sorting, organizing and production.
Maintain good housekeeping of work space including sweeping, organizing and keeping the space tidy.
Ensure work is completed following health and safety standards.
Follow specific instructions provided by the supervisor/ lead hand regarding the production requirements.
Scan and count materials and product to maintain up to date inventory records as required.
Report any discrepancies to the supervisor/ lead hands as soon as possible.
Follow the plant rules to ensure safe working practices.
Report any concerns with health and safety to lead hand, supervisor, or HR.

Experience:

Minimum Highschool diploma.
Experience working in a Manufacturing environment.
Experience in Railings, Windows and Doors manufacturing preferred.
Able to lift 50+ lbs consistently throughout shift.
Ability to read a tape measure required.
Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
Walking, and standing for a long period of time.
