Accounting Clerk Temp to Perm – Barrie, ON

About Our Client:

Based in Barrie, ON our client is a Canadian owned construction company serving the commercial and industrial markets. They are looking for an Accounting Clerk to support their day-to-day accounting operations. This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable working independently, understands core accounting process, and can support month-end activities.

What you will be doing, as an Accounting Clerk:

Process subcontractor and supplier invoices including holdbacks
Maintain job cost coding and cost allocations
Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
Process progress billing and invoice tracking
Payroll processing
Maintain organized records for audits and year end
Communicate with project managers as needed regarding job costs and discrepancies

What you should have, as an Accounting Clerk:

3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in construction
Strong understanding of job costing, AP/AR, and reconciliations
Experience working with subcontractor invoices and holdbacks
Proficient with accounting software Sage 300 CRE or equivalent
Strong Excel skills
High attention to detail and ability to work independently
Ability to meet deadlines in a multi-project.
Not on a bus route so you must have your own transportation.

In Return, You Will Receive:

$22 to $24hr depending on skills.

The Shift You Will Be Working on is:

8:00am – 5:00pm (1 hour lunch)
Monday to Friday in office
