Full job description

Building Operator/Maintenance Person

Owner of two (2) adjacent office buildings in Midnapore, totalling 75,000 square feet requires a Building Operator/Maintenance person.

The primary responsibilities for this position include:

· Liaise with the building owner and property manager on an ongoing basis, build and maintain relationships with tenants and contractors and communicate and execute work procedures as set out by management

· Respond to tenant service requests in a professional and timely manner

· Maintain site cleanliness and aesthetics

· Perform daily building operations tasks including equipment inspections and mechanical inspection checks and building maintenance and repairs and maintain weekly/daily logs

· Undertake/oversee preventative maintenance and repairs and maintenance of building systems, including HVAC

· Basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry and miscellaneous repairs

· Above average renovation skills, such that you can assist with tenant improvement projects

· Coordinate with and supervise contractors/trades and ensure that work has been completed properly and in accordance with code(s)

· Calling for quotes, as required

· Other assigned duties as required

Qualifications required for this position:

· Experience working in building operations

· Construction background is considered an asset

· Experience working with hand tools

· Available to assist in after hours emergencies

· Responsible and self-motivated team player who can allocate their time effectively

· Ability to handle multiple demands and competing priorities

· Valid drivers’ licence

· Ability to climb ladders and be able to lift 50 pounds

· Basic computer skills

Expected start date: Immediately

Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
