Full job description

Job Overview
One of our client is seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Setup / Operator / Programmer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and programming 2-axis CNC lathes to produce precision-machined components while maintaining quality and production standards.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate 2-axis CNC lathe machines
Create, edit, and optimize CNC programs
Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions
Select and install tooling, set offsets, and perform machine adjustments
Inspect parts using precision measuring instruments to ensure compliance with specifications
Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and programming issues
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Work independently and efficiently to meet production schedules

Skills

3–5 years of experience setting up, operating, and programming CNC lathes
Experience with 2-axis CNC machines
Strong understanding of G-code programming
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
Knowledge of machining practices, tooling, and inspection methods
Experience working with tight tolerances
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Pay: From $24.00 per hour
