We’re looking for skilled framers, carpenters, and Red Seal journeymen to work on a variety of exciting projects from framing houses to building decks and fences, as well as interior and exterior renovations. Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Hand to join our construction management team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in overseeing daily operations on-site, supervising team members, and ensuring project standards are met efficiently and safely. This position offers an opportunity to lead projects with a focus on quality, safety, and adherence to timelines, contributing significantly to the success of our construction initiatives.

Duties

Supervise and coordinate the activities of construction crews to ensure timely completion of projects
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to guide on-site work
Oversee quality control measures to maintain high standards throughout the construction process
Ensure compliance with safety protocols and conduct regular safety inspections on-site
Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and clients to facilitate smooth communication and project flow
Monitor progress and report on project status, addressing issues proactively

Skills

Proven experience supervising construction teams with strong leadership capabilities
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction estimating documents
Strong knowledge of construction processes, quality control standards, and safety regulations
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Knowledge of construction schematics and technical drawings is highly desirable
